Lum is elated and immediately takes to the Pine Ridge party line to announce the exciting giveaway, encouraging everyone—men, women, and children—to write in for one.

Meanwhile, Abner continues the charade of having both arms broken from a staged car accident, hilariously demanding help with everything from lighting his pipe to removing his hat.
